0870 Numbers

National Rate Numbers

Ofcom changes in 2009 to 0870 number charging means that people calling these numbers from a landline will usually now be charged a similar rate as calling 0845 Local Rate numbers.

The company receiving the call no longer receives an income from these calls and in most cases has to pay a pence per minute charge. Gold Telecom can still supply 0870 numbers where required.

Many smart companies are now choosing however to move to a Gold Telecom 03 number, which are a similar price to call from a landline but much cheaper than 08 numbers for people calling from mobiles. See our page on 03 numbers for more details.

If you already use a BT 0870 number, then you are familiar with this service, but with Gold Telecom you will save money and get excellent customer service.
