There are two different services, which you can use as a pre-paid customer with Gold Telecom: Travel Card (PIN) and Home / Mobile Service. You can have one or the other, or both under the same account number. There are no hidden charges and there is FREE and simple activation.
Make cheap international calls from your home landline or turn the free or cheap UK minutes from your UK mobile into cheap international calls. You can also make these cheap international calls direct from the phone book on most mobile handsets. See the “Quick dialling” instructions below.
Only one 0800 access number required to use from any UK Landline and only one 0207 access number to use from any UK Mobile, it’s that simple.
There are no monthly fees and all you pay for is the duration of your call. All calls are only charged in 30 seconds increments
Have you got a home telephone line or personal mobile, which you would like to use to make cheap international calls? Then this option would be ideal for you. It allows you to make cheap international calls from your landline at home or your personal mobile without using a PIN. Why? Because our network will automatically recognise your number once you've created your account. How does it work?

- Follow the simple instructions, which will guide you through the process of creating your Home Service
- Activate as many telephone numbers/mobiles as you like

Quick dialling: using your Mobile's phone book with Gold Telecom
If you call the same number often, you can make the process quicker by storing the full number in your mobile's "phone book".
- Select the "phone book" on your mobile, and choose to add a new entry to your SIM card (your phone's memory card).
- Type the UK access number (e.g. 02070193726), followed by a "pause", followed by the international number you want to call. The way to enter a "pause" depends on the manufacturer of your phone:
Nokia
Simply press * three times (a "p" will appear)
Sony Ericsson
Simply press * and keep pressing for a couple of seconds (a "p" will appear)
Siemens/Panasonic/Motorola
Simply press 0 and hold this key down (a "+" will appear)
Samsung: Hold down Zero on some phones or * (star) on others.
On Blackberry handsets go to the phone book add the 0207 number, then go to menu and select add pause, then add the international number.
It's that simple.
Example
To call the international number 00 33 1 0000 0000, add the following number to your phone book:
02070193726p0033100000000 (instead of the "p" a "+" will appear on some phones - see above).
Give this number a name (for example: "Paris office or Mum etc"), and use this name to make phone calls easily in future.
If you use this method of dialling, you will still be told your balance and how long you can call using your credit.
Also you can put the Gold Telecom number 02070193726 into your speed dial and then dial any other international number when connected.
This service allows you to make telephone calls anywhere within the United Kingdom by using a PIN (Personal Identification Number), which is also known as your authorisation code. How does it work?
- Click on Create New Account
- Open your pre-paid account on-line and select Travel Card service
- Follow the simple instructions, which will guide you through the process of creating your Travel Card
- Straight after you will automatically receive confirmation with an explanation of how to use your PIN at the email address you have specified while opening your pre-paid account
- Start making telephone calls no matter where you are in the UK at present (cannot be used from BT payphones).
- It is your responsibility to keep your PIN secret to avoid fraudulent usage.
What International Calling is not: International Calling is not the same as using your mobile overseas. It is when you are in the UK calling landlines in other countries or mobiles in other countries which are registered in that country and does not include calling a UK registered mobile that is being used in another country.
